We are Claude and Mirjana Venne and we live in beautiful Golden Lake ontario, right in the heart of the Ottawa Valley.

We have recently moved and now live on over 120 beautiful acres with forests, fields, trails, ponds and creeks.  Here there is lot's of space and fresh air for us all to enjoy, and tons of room for our shilohs to run to their hearts content.

Our envolvment with this magnificent breed started many years ago with the adoption of our GSD rescue, Marleau. Marleau was to be a companion for our older malamute rescue, Kieura. Now Marleau wasn't your typical GSD. He was very large, heavy boned and square built, with a lovely long coat.

Later with the passing of Kieura, we started looking for another companion for Marleau. But we wanted another shepherd just like him. To our disappointment, those GSD's just didn't exist anymore. And thus we came across this phenominal breed, the shiloh shepherd.

In early 2003 we came to know a wonderful breeder in PEI, Jan Burke, and in early 2004 we headed out to PEI to pick up our new furry bundle, our first shiloh puppy, Bella.

Bella turned out to be much more then we ever dreamed of. She was a beatiful black and grey sable. She was also a large boned girl, who at only 11 months weighed 91lbs, and had great movement to boot. But her greatest quality was her supper sweet temperment. We were hooked!

We were so impressed with our new girl that we knew we just had to share our lives with more of these wonderful dogs. And that's how it all started.

Bella has since crossed the rainbow bridge, but we now share our lives with 7 lovely shilohs.  Lexi is our retired shiloh who simply enjoys being Lexi.  Odin is our resident stud.  Argos is Odin's son and is our upcoming stud.  Tiegan and Freya are our Lexi daughters and are our two current breeding females, and Lani and Senta are the two babies who we hope to add to our breeding program in the future.  Oh! And we have 3 kitties too.
