Puppy Application
Filling out the Puppy Application is the first step to purchasing
a puppy from us. The Puppy Application let's us get to know you better. Please fill out the application with as much detail
as possible about your dog experience and lifestyle. This will help us determin and recommend which puppies would be best fit
into your lifestyle based on temperment, activity level, personality etc. A very active puppy would thrive in a busy and active
household, while a quiet puppy would not. Our primary objective is to make sure all our puppies find suitable homes.
What
to expect from a Phenom Puppy
Before the puppies leave our home they will have been whelped in our home. They will have
been exposed to daily activities and their socialization will have begun by 4 weeks of age. At that time we welcome visitors
and often have family, friends, and previous puppy families here playing with puppies. They will have been introduced to children
and kitties too!
They will have been fed a high quality food. We currently feed our puppies NOW-Large Breed Duck and Turkey.
They will have natural treats (apples, carrots, dried liver, raw beef marrow bones etc).
They will have been dewormed 3
times.
At 7 weeks of age your puppy will be temperament tested to make sure he will have a sound temperament when he leaves phenom
shilohs.
At 7 weeks your puppy will visit the vet (Pinnacle Animal Hospital, Renfrew) to get a health evaluation done.
Your puppy will go home with a health clearance certificate stateing your puppy is healthy and free of disease and parasites.
Your puppy will also recieve his first set of puppy shots, and WILL be microchipped.
When your puppy leaves us, he will
have a toy and a blanket to go with him that all his littermates have played with (and more often then not....the rest of the
pack helps in playing with these toys:) It will smell like mom and his littermates and will comfort your puppy in the first
few days in his new home.
You will be given a puppy folder with our contact information. As well as a copy of the vet clearance
and microchip paperwork.
Your puppy will be registered with the TSSR (The Shiloh Shepherd Registry).
Price
We
sell all our puppies at the same price, regardless of gender. All our puppies are sold with a neuter/spay agreement only.
We do not normally sell any puppies on breeding or co-ownership contracts. Our focus is to provide the best home possible
for our puppies. A home where they will be loved, cherished and part of the family. If you are seriously interested
in a breeding/show prospect puppy please contact us, and we will discuss the possibility on an individual, one on one basis.
Payment
must be payable to Mirjana Venne, and recieved prior to puppy pick up or shipment.
Deposits
To secure a puppy
from a specific litter, a deposit is required. The deposit amount is $300.00. We will email you once the deposit has been recieved.
Deposits are only refundable if a breeding doesn't take or no puppies are availible, but may be bounced to another litter if you prefer.
Deposits are not refundable if you simply change your mind or choose another breeder. Deposits must be payable to Mirjana
Venne.
When moving your deposit to another litter you will be placed behind anyone already in place. We cannot move you
ahead of someone else even if your deposit was recieved before theirs.

Litter Evaluations and Choosing Your Puppy
At about 7 weeks a thorough Litter Evaluation will be completed.
The purpose of the testing is to give us an idea of the puppies temperment. This test will help us match the right puppy to
the right puppy owner. We have a group of temperment testers from the Champlain Dog Club that come over to test our litters.
They are very experienced and have extensive knowledgeable in dog behavior. They only get to meet the puppies at the time
of their testing and are therefore able to give us unbiased results. One handles and works with the puppies, one marks, one
video tapes and all evaluate.
Puppy choice is based on your application information, and results of the testing. It is
important that the right puppy and right family are matched up, so that both the puppies and the families will be happy in the long
run. We will try and give you as much freedom as possible in choosing your puppy and will provide you with advice and recomendations
when choosing. We reserve the right to deny placing any puppy that we feel would create a bad match based on the testing and
your application information.
NOTE: Breeder reserves right to pick(s) of litter on breeding/show prospect puppies.
Shipping
Puppies
Puppies will be availible for pickup at eight weeks of age. If you are unable to pick up your puppy in person,
other arrangements will need to be made ahead of time.
